Since the company was founded in 1992 we have undergone considerable expansion and now own and operate 17 quality three and four star hotels, and two luxury timeshare developments; at the Menzies Welcombe Hotel Spa & Golf Club, Stratford upon Avon and the Menzies Carlton Hotel, Bournemouth.
The hotel portfolio currently provides over 1700 bedrooms and suites, a comprehensive range of quality restaurants and bars, extensive conference and private dining facilities, eight health and fitness clubs, a luxury spa and two championship golf courses.
Our most recent acquisition of eight former Thistle properties provides us with the ideal opportunity to continue to grow and develop our portfolio of hotels. The hotels are in prime locations where we currently have no representation therefore substantially improving our geographical spread across the UK.
Over the next 18 months we will be carrying out a £12 million capital investment programme to refurbish and reposition the eight properties in line with the existing portfolio.
As a Group we are fully committed to ensuring that our guests receive the highest possible standards of facilities and services and as such we implement very clear operating standards across every aspect of our business.
Our commitment to quality is further underlined by the fact that we have in the last five years invested over £24 million on refurbishment and capital improvements to our various hotels.
A good hotel relies on every member of its staff and I know from the completed guest questionnaires which are returned, just how much their contribution is appreciated by our guests.
